- 1 whole turkey (12–14 pounds)
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh sage, chopped
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 large onions, quartered
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Rinse the turkey under cold water and pat dry.
- In a bowl, combine olive oil, garlic, rosemary, thyme, and sage. Rub mixture over the turkey, including under the skin.
- Stuff the cavity with quartered onions and any leftover herbs.
- Place the turkey breast-side up in a roasting pan and pour chicken broth into the bottom of the pan.
