- 12 jumbo pasta shells
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded whole-milk mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 cups marinara sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Boil salted water in a large pot and cook the jumbo shells according to package instructions until al dente (about 10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta, half of the mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, parsley, salt, and pepper until well blended.
- Carefully fill each pasta shell with the ricotta mixture using a spoon or piping bag.
- Spread some marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. Place filled shells snugly in the dish and pour remaining sauce over them. Sprinkle with leftover mozzarella.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
