  • 12 jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded whole-milk mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 cups marinara sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Boil salted water in a large pot and cook the jumbo shells according to package instructions until al dente (about 10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta, half of the mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, parsley, salt, and pepper until well blended.
  3. Carefully fill each pasta shell with the ricotta mixture using a spoon or piping bag.
  4. Spread some marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. Place filled shells snugly in the dish and pour remaining sauce over them. Sprinkle with leftover mozzarella.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
