- In a bowl, cream together the butter and dark brown sugar until fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time along with vanilla extract until well combined.

- Stir in the soaked dates along with their soaking liquid.
- Pour batter into a greased baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
- While baking, prepare the toffee sauce by combining heavy cream, brown sugar, and water in a saucepan over medium heat until smooth.
