  • 1 cup cold beer or sparkling water
  • 2 large starchy potatoes (russets)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot to 350°F (175°C).

  3. Slice potatoes into thick wedges and rinse under cold water; pat dry.

  5. Dip fish fillets into batter and fry for 4-6 minutes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
