  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg (room temperature)
  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. If desired, fold in nuts for added crunch.
  7. Scoop dough onto lined baking sheets and bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain soft.
