Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bag (28 oz) frozen crinkle-cut French fries
  • 1 lb lean ground beef or turkey
  • 1 can (15 oz) chili (your choice)
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced jalapeños (optional)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven according to frozen fry package instructions. Spread fries on a baking sheet and bake until golden brown and crispy, about 25-30 minutes.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef or turkey until browned. Drain excess fat and season with salt and pepper.
  3. In a saucepan, heat canned chili over low heat until warmed through.
  4. Assemble by layering baked fries on a serving platter. Spoon hot chili over the fries and sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
  5. Broil in the oven for 3-5 minutes until cheese is bubbly. Watch closely to prevent burning.
  6. Top with jalapeños and sour cream if desired. Serve immediately.
