Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together heavy cream, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Layer sliced potatoes in the baking dish; pour some of the cream mixture over each layer and sprinkle cheese between layers.
  4. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
