- 1 cup halal cheese (shredded, such as mozzarella or cheddar)
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 lb ground halal meat (beef or chicken)
- 1 small onion (finely chopped)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds carefully.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté chopped onion until golden, then add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- Add ground meat to the skillet and cook until browned.
- Stir in cooked rice, tomato sauce, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Stuff each pepper generously with the meat mixture and top with shredded halal cheese.
- Place peppers upright in a baking dish, cover with foil, and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil for the last 10 minutes to melt cheese.
