Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz fettuccine or spaghetti
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  3. Lower the heat and add heavy cream, stirring gently. Gradually whisk in parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy.
  4. Drain the pasta (reserving some water) and add it to the sauce. Toss until well-coated; if too thick, add reserved pasta water as needed.
  5. Sprinkle with parsley and serve hot with extra parmesan if desired.
