  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup canola oil (for frying)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp hot sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp dried herbs (like dill or parsley)

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken breasts into even one-inch strips.
  2. Set up three bowls: one with flour mixed with salt and pepper, one with beaten eggs, and the last with panko breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder.
  3. Dip each strip into the flour, then the egg, and finally coat it in panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat canola oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
  5. Fry the coated chicken strips for about 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked.
  6. In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, hot sauce, lemon juice, honey, and dried herbs to make the zesty sauce.
