Instructions
- Season ribeye with salt and pepper; let rest for 30 minutes.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear ribeye for 4–5 minutes per side until browned to your liking.
- In the same skillet, sauté sliced onions over medium heat until golden brown (about 10 minutes).
- Just before removing steak from heat, add cheese slices on top to melt.
- Slice the baguette lengthwise; toast under the broiler for 2–3 minutes until golden brown.
- Spread mayonnaise on both halves of the baguette. Layer with sautéed onions, steak slices, melted cheese, and fresh herbs before closing.
