- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Instructions
- Wash, peel, core, and chop the apples into small chunks.
- In a large pot, combine chopped apples and water over medium heat; cook until soft (about 15 minutes), stirring occasionally.
- Stir in sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice until well combined.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for about an hour, stirring frequently until thickened.
- Use an immersion blender to puree the mixture until smooth.
- Pour the apple butter into sterilized jars while still warm. Seal tightly and let cool before refrigerating.
