Ingredients

  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 1 cup filtered water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons kosher salt
  • 4 dill sprigs
  • 3 garlic cloves, smashed
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon peppercorns

Instructions

  1. Rinse cucumbers under cold water and slice them into halves or quarters.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine vinegar, water, sugar, and salt. Stir until dissolved.
  3. Add garlic, mustard seeds, and peppercorns to the brine and warm for about 5 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Pack the sliced cucumbers and dill sprigs tightly into clean jars.
  5. Pour the hot brine over the cucumbers until fully submerged.
  6. Seal jars tightly and cool to room temperature before refrigerating. Allow to chill for at least 24 hours before enjoying.
