  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ziti pasta in salted boiling water until al dente; drain.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat; sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  4. Add ground beef and brown for about 7-10 minutes.
  5. Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese with half of the grated Parmesan, salt, and pepper.
  7. In a baking dish, layer half of the cooked ziti, half of the meat sauce, half of the ricotta mixture, and sprinkle with mozzarella. Repeat layers.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 30-35 minutes; remove foil during the last 10 minutes for a golden top.
